With September and the beginning of the Fall Season comes new weather, colors, patterns and trends. It's time to update your space for Fall 2020 and what better way to get inspired then reading about some of the Interior Design trends seen and used by decorators themselves.

We reached out to Umbra followers and interior decorators; Renee and her Team at Re: Creative and Beth at Beth Fisher Designs to hear about their favorite design trends for Fall 2020 along with their Umbra picks for Fall.

See what they shared with us down below.

RENEE & THE RE: CREATIVE TEAM

Toronto Home Stagers & Property Styling Team

"The start of a season is a great excuse to freshen up your home’s decor. Just like that new first day back to school outfit, it feels good to add a few pieces to our home too. It can be overwhelming knowing where to start, so we rounded up a few of our favourite fall trends to help you feel good in your home this season."

ARCHES & CURVES

"We are fully here to embrace all the curves. We have noticed a lot more curves and arches in home decor. Think - arched doorways and mirrors and lots of curved edges in furniture. Often our spaces at home are rectangular boxes and a little touch with some rounded items help soften a room."

TINTED MIRRORS
"Instead of a pair of rose coloured glasses we are totally embracing rose coloured mirrors. In fact mirrors of all colours have been making a comeback and we can’t say we are upset about it. Our faves? Rose and smoked tinted mirrors. Think of the tinted mirror as more of an art piece rather than a practical piece. A big rose mirror over a sofa or above a fire place mantel is going to instantly update your space in a big way."

TEXTURE
"Similar to how we cozy up with chunky knit sweaters as soon as the summer heat fades, home decor also starts seeing more of this cozy texture. Keep an eye out for upholstery in boucle, velvet and chunky knits."

"2020 is all about bringing the outside in.

Earth tones paired with soft pinks, ochre yellow, and burnt orange, are a few colors that you will be seeing this Fall. We are seeing layered neutrals, plants, natural pottery, and lighter wood tones, creating a soothing environment. It is often a subtle integration of soft organic textures and colors but sometimes, less is more."

MINIMALISM

"I can’t talk about Umbra without mentioning the Hub Mirror.  I’ve used it in bathrooms, entries, and bedrooms.  I love the simple clean lines and minimal frame on this piece.  The colour options are always fresh and current with trends & the price is very reasonable!"

LIGHTER WOOD TONES

"I love how the Cubist Multi-Shelf incorporates all the trends: light wood, plants and just a touch of black metal."

VERSATILE FURNITURE

So many different uses for the Hub Ladder - blanket wrack in the family room to a towel wrack in a bathroom.  I love this versatile piece!"
