Terms and Conditions of Sale
These terms apply when you use eu.umbra.com and when you buy from us. Please read them before you order. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
1. Who we are
This shop is run by Umbra B.V., Monitorweg 1, 1322 BJ Almere, The Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 34180896, VAT number NL811198996B01. Email: eu-info@umbra.com. Phone: +31 (0)36 549 5422. Our store runs on the Shopify platform.
2. Who can buy
You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Our shop is open to customers from every country we deliver to on the same prices and conditions, wherever you live and whatever your nationality. The countries we deliver to are listed in our Shipping policy.
3. Products and prices
- We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Colours can look slightly different on different screens.
- Prices are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs and any oversize surcharge are shown before you pay.
- When we show a price reduction, the reference price is the lowest price we charged in the 30 days before the reduction.
- Prices and products can change, but the price you pay is the price shown when you placed your order.
4. How your order is accepted
- You choose items, add them to your cart and go to checkout.
- You enter your details and can check and correct everything before you place the order.
- When you click the order button, you place an order with an obligation to pay.
- Your order is accepted, and the sale is agreed, when we send you the order confirmation email. We keep a copy of the order, and the confirmation email is your record.
The language of the sale is English. In rare cases we may be unable to accept an order, for example if an item is out of stock or a price was obviously wrong. If so, we tell you straight away and refund anything you paid in full.
5. Payment
You can pay with the methods shown at checkout, which currently include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, UnionPay, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, MobilePay and iDEAL (Wero). Payment is taken when you place your order. Payments are handled by our payment providers and are encrypted.
6. Delivery
Delivery costs, times and destinations are explained in our Shipping policy. Unless we agree a different date, we deliver within 30 days. The risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or someone you choose, receive the goods.
7. Cancelling and returns
As a consumer you can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason (the legal right of withdrawal). On top of that, our 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee lets you return items within 45 days of your order date, with a free return label. All details, and the optional EU cancellation form, are in our Returns and Refunds policy.
8. Legal guarantee and warranty
You have a legal guarantee of conformity of at least 2 years from delivery (3 years in Spain). If an item is faulty or not as described, you can ask for a repair or replacement free of charge, and if that is not possible, a price reduction or refund. Our voluntary 2-Year Limited Warranty is in addition to these legal rights and does not affect them.
9. Your account
If you create an account, please keep your login details safe and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
10. Using our website
- Please do not misuse our site, for example by trying to hack it, spreading viruses, or copying content for commercial use without permission.
- All designs, images, text and trademarks on this site belong to Umbra or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
- Links to other websites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
- If you send us comments, reviews or ideas, please make sure they are lawful and your own. Design submissions follow their own separate agreement.
11. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intent or gross negligence, for defective products under product liability law, or for your statutory consumer rights. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses if you buy as a consumer.
12. Privacy
How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at eu-info@umbra.com. If we cannot solve it together, you can get free advice from the European Consumer Centre in your country (see the European Consumer Centres Network). The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of your country or in The Netherlands.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.
