What was the inspiration behind your design? (ie. time, place, material, other item etc.)

The original design inspiration was that of colourful summery cocktails. There has also been an uptrend on gradient reflective surfaces in the market and this concept seemed to fit right in with those products.

What problem (if any) were you trying to solve?

Nothing too complicated here; the main purpose of this mirror was to add a stylish, decorative wall décor piece to the catalog!

Were there any challenges along the way? (ie. material, manufacturing, costing, etc.)

The main challenge was creating a seamless gradient on the mirror. We had to go through a couple design changes along the way, but we found that screen printing right on the top of the glass gave the best effect with the least amount of visible dots and complicated manufacturing processes. Conceptually, it seemed like a simple design, but it was a lot of back and forth with our team in China to get the gradient just right.

What is your favourite part about the product?

My favourite part has to be the gradient itself. It adds such a lovely touch of colour to any room; the copper definitely warms up the wall it is hung on.

What makes this product different/unique/better compared to everything else on the market?

This product is both functional and decorative without having to take up too much space in someone’s home due to its vertical pill shape. The gradient adds such a unique colour to one’s room, and the clear top section is still able to reflect the area it’s in making the room feel much larger. The rimless design also allows this item to fit in with many different room aesthetics.
